The Story

Divalicious – Head Candy & Gifts for the Suave & Swanky

Coming from a long line of law professionals, Sarah Homburg was meant to follow in her father’s footsteps. However, never one to follow the rules, Sarah chose a different interpretation. Her family name of Homburg originated in Germany, which translates to “Hat with a feather or feathers”. Naturally Sarah’s fashion crush led her heart to owning her own boutique, Divalicious, which now specialises in one-of-a-kind, trés chic fascinators.

“The Urban Dictionary’s definition of Divalicious represented my boutique beautifully – ‘The supreme degree of elegance, independence and love, all wrapped into one.’ My top label, Wheels and Dollbaby, was very Parisian and rock’n’roll which influence my boutique’s style to be feminine and glamourous, with a sex-kitten pin-up and rock-chick edge,” Sarah said.

Her flair for fascinators came purely from natural talent and having a great eye for colour. She began designing fascinators to match her suave and swanky race-day frocks, but when the fascinators began to attract more attention than the dresses, she knew it was an opportunity to develop something truly unique.

“My love for all things vintage, Parisian, burlesque and edgy comes through in my design style. I love feathers and the dominant use they have had throughout the ages.

“It’s head candy for the suave and swanky, and in a world of ever-increasing mass-production, it’s nice to own a beautiful accessory that is entirely your own’. Each design is as unique as the diva who loves her. Nobody shall suffer the fashion faux pas of seeing another piece quite like hers on anyone else, anywhere in the world,” Sarah said.

Sarah said, “A clairvoyant once said my past life was in burlesque. I could have been a designer for the Moulin Rouge!”.
